(MULTI) – The Spine App | M. Guentchev & M. Sailer

Patient-physician communication is an integral part of building a therapeutic doctor-patient relationship, which is crucial for the delivery of high-quality health care. A large portion of patient dissatisfaction and many complaints can be attributed to breakdown of the doctor-patient relationship, unrealistic expectations and insufficient information regarding risks and prognosis of the disease (PMID: 21603354).
A multilingual tool for helping patients around the globe suffering from spine disease. By providing detailed background information The Spineapp aims at improving the transfer of complex medical knowledge from medical professionals to patients and ultimately help prepare the patient for a consultation with a spine specialist.
Medicine is an ever-changing science. As new research and clinical experience broaden our knowledge, changes in treatment are required. The authors of the Spine App have checked with sources believed to be reliable in their efforts to provide information that is complete and generally in accord with the standards accepted at the time of publication. However, there is a possibility of human error or changes in medical sciences. Thus, readers are encouraged to confirm the information contained herein with other sources (e.g. drug information sheets, textbooks or research papers). Since our goal is to constantly improve The Spine App we are open to suggestions for improving the content.
