“This revised and augmented version of the Family Law Glossary (Common Law) is published as part of a project undertaken in 1981 by the National Program for the Integration of Both Official Languages in the Administration of Justice (POLAJ) to standardize the French terminology of common-law vocabulary. Since the beginning of the project, a series of publications have been produced: the Vocabulaire bilingue de la common law — Droit de la preuve, Canadian Bar Association, 1984; theCanadian Common Law Dictionary — Law of Property and Estates, Yvon Blais Inc., 1997; the Law of Trusts Glossary, Public Works and Government Services Canada, 2005; the Law of Contracts and Law of Torts Glossary (Common Law), Public Works and Government Services Canada, 2008; the Law of Security Glossary (Common Law), Public Works and Government Services Canada, 2009; and the Family Law Glossary (Common Law) Fascicle 1 (2010), Fascicles 2 and 3 (2011), and final version (2013), Public Works and Government Services Canada.
This new edition replaces the first four editions. It contains 1,920 English terms, the French equivalents of which have been standardized. The term-analysis documents were prepared by the Centre de traduction et de terminologie juridiques (CTTJ) in Moncton, which also coordinated the project, the Centre for Legal Translation and Documentation (CLTD) in Ottawa and the Translation and Terminology Centre of the Translation Bureau of Canada (TTC-TB). These centres and the TB worked in collaboration with the Centre de ressources en français juridique in Winnipeg, the Centre canadien de français juridique Inc.(CCFJ) in Winnipeg, and the Paul-André Crépeau Centre for Private and Comparative Law.
The contributions of the jurilinguistic centres to this project have been made possible by funding from the Department of Justice Canada under the Access to Justice in Both Official Languages Support Fund.
The term-analysis documents used by the Standardization Committee and the User Committee to standardize the French equivalents may be consulted on the Website of the Centre de traduction et de terminologie juridiques (CTTJ) (Available only in French) de Moncton.”

“The Automotive Dictionary is a specialised dictionary for the automotive sector. New terms are being coined in this sector all the time, and we are convinced of the need to compile and analyse them. That is why we brought together various companies in the sector (Batz, Cikautxo, Ekin, Elay, GKN and Maier) and with the help of the advisory service provided by terminology experts in the Elhuyar Language & Technology Unit we have produced this dictionary, in which we have gathered the terms we use in our everyday work, and which we are making available to the general public.
It is clear that globalisation is leading us to another business reality and that from one year to the next the number of companies immersed in internationalisation processes is on the increase. In this new reality, we companies find ourselves having to manage various languages, be it in work processes, in relations with clients and suppliers, in relations among workers or in resources and computing applications.
So, properly managing languages and setting up a language strategy at work is a key aspect for competitiveness, as it allows us to display greater proximity to the client. Bearing this aim in mind, there is no doubt that managing the terminology of our sector and our companies has been a very important step.
This dictionary seeks to gather the multilingual terminology of the automotive sector and thus meet the terminology needs of companies, professionals and experts in this field.
We have produced the Automotive Dictionary to be able to effectively meet the communication needs of automotive sector users. The dictionary has started off with 2,650 items used in the automotive sector in 6 languages (English, Basque, Spanish, French, German and Chinese). The items have been classified into the different areas of automotive engineering, in line with the classification proposed by the ACICAE (Automotive Cluster of the Basque Autonomous Community).”

“The Information Architecture Glossary contains entries pertaining to close to 300 concepts that mostly relate to information architecture for the Web. The Glossary deals with web content management, search and navigation systems, data management, and usability. It also includes some concepts in library science and various job titles related to this field. Terms specifically related to enterprise and organizational architecture have not been included in the Glossary.
A base list was first compiled, made up of terms taken from the English and French versions of documents on information management (departmental policies and directives, information material, glossaries, etc.) published by the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat and by Public Works and Government Services Canada. To enhance the base list of this fascicle and provide a more comprehensive list of terms in the field of information architecture, the author added terms from the IA Glossary of the Information Architecture Institute (a professional association for information architects in the United States) and from Information Architecture for the World Wide Web, a reference work by Peter Morville and Louis Rosenfeld. These documents are listed in the Glossary’s bibliography.
While not exhaustive, the base list for the Information Architecture Glossary will be a valuable tool for writers and translators who are required to produce texts on the relatively new subject of information architecture. It will also help ensure that consistent terminology is used in the Government of Canada.”
