You are in the right spot if you are looking for information about mini pigs. Welcome to our educational website. We created this website to help other pet pig parents or people who want to learn about these amazing animals. This website encompasses the care, dedication and specifics involved when you choose to have a pig as a pet. Let me first address the name of the website and explain why it is called Mini Pig Info. Mini is NOT a breed of pig, but rather a classification of pigs referring to a group of breeds typically smaller than a standard farm pig. This does not mean that pet pigs are in any way, shape or form, “mini”, but, the term is commonly used to distinguish the difference between pigs commonly seen as companion pets and farm type pigs. The name was chosen because when people are searching for information about mini pigs, let’s say on google, they type information about mini pigs in the search browser. When people are interested in adding a pig to their family, some research “mini pigs” and our hopes were for them to find us and read the information we have gathered, collected, written and/or posted to the website so they could make an informed decision BEFORE adding a pig to the family with the goal to reduce the number of unwanted pigs. Pigs are one of the most misunderstood pets out there and suffer horribly because of the lack of education. We hope to change this and the website is the first step in our fight to save pigs all over the world.
